Benefits of Smart Wireless Switch
Effortless automation
It's easy to schedule lighting to turn on, dim and to the perfect ambience according to your desired occasion. With various customizable presets, you can simulate occupancy and adjust brightness depending on a movie mood or reading.
01
Improved Security
You can now stop potential intruders by making it appear as though someone lives at the house, even if you do not. Smart switches can regulate outdoor lights automatically, so your home will be perceived as occupied.
02
Great Convenience
No more getting worried about working with switches in case of a power outage. You can now turn on the lights from anywhere in the house with just a tap on the smartphone.
03
Energy efficient
Smart light switches can fine-tune lighting based on your lifestyle. So, they save a lot of energy too. The lights in a room go off automatically if nobody is there. You can set energy-efficient lighting settings that will reduce the electricity bill instantly.
04
Remote control access
Whether you are in the office or out of town, you can stay connected and in control. You never again have to go home to a dark house because now you can remotely light up your space to create the right ambiance.
05
Smart Home Connectivity
Wi-Fi
Sometimes spelled Wi-Fi, WiFi is a wireless technology that allows IoT devices to connect to the web with super-fast speeds. Using radiofrequency technology, most connected devices use some form of WiFi to connect to your app. However, if it's an important device like a security motion sensor, you may want to add in cellular or landline backup in case the WiFi is faulty, which we also discuss below.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth: it's what you use to connect your AirPods or your smart speaker to your car's radio. A wireless technology, Bluetooth works by using short-wavelength radio waves. It's most commonly used with car stereo systems, hands-free headsets, mouses, keyboards, printers, and gaming consoles, and it's less common in smart home security.
Z-Wave
Z-Wave is the name of a wireless communications protocol that lets devices connect with each other and the app using low-energy radio waves. In 2019, there were over 26,000 products that worked with Z-Wave, making it an increasingly popular connectivity option.
Zigbee
Another communications protocol is Zigbee, which actually creates networks via digital radios. Cheaper than WiFi and Bluetooth, Zigbee's only requirement is a data transfer with a short range, meaning it uses less power. Plus, those concerned with privacy will be happy to know that Zigbee is one of the more secure options out there, as all of its networks are symmetrically encrypted.
Cellular Backup
Your phone uses data, so why can't your security system? In order to keep everything on if the power goes out, some security companies offer cellular data as a backup. This usually costs a monthly or yearly fee, but sometimes it's built into the alarm panel or base station through a cellular communicator.
Landline Backup
If you still have a landline in your home, another way to keep your system on in a power outage is through landline backup, meaning it's connected to communication wires or cables. The big advantage of landline over cellular backup is that if you call the police, they'll know your location instantly, which isn't always the case for mobile devices with less than perfect GPS. Although they may seem unnecessary in this smartphone world, having a landline is a great way to make your home more secure.

Turn Off Power: It is very dangerous to install the light switch while the electricity is on. Hence, you should switch off power from that switch at the circuit breaker.
Remove the Old Switch: Turn off the screws of the existing light switch, then pull the wires off cautiously.
Connect the Smart Switch: Connect the smart switch according to the wiring diagram that is usually taped on the packing of the product. Usually, to connect the smart switch, you will require the live wire, neutral wire, and ground wire to go to the respective terminals on the switch.
Secure the Switch: Fix the smart switch into the wall box and tighten it with screws as required, like any other switch.
Restore Power and Configure: This can be done through the host and switch by simply switching the power back on and configuring the switch with the help of the app provided by the manufacturer. Once you connect the switch to your Wi-Fi network, then you will be all set.
When installing the wiring, it is advisable to seek the assistance of an electrician if you are not well-equipped to tackle it.
